Cal Ripken Jr. is buying a minor league baseball franchise in Florida. Ripken Baseball has purchased the Class A Vero Beach Rays of the Florida State League. As part of the deal, the team will relocate to Florida's west coast in Port Charlotte for the start of the 2009 season.
